Brain-based learning in children. How much do you know about it?
Everybody has their own innate talents. It is important for parents to remember that our talents might be different from our child’s. They may not enjoy the same activities as we do or share the same interests. How do we, then, spot their talents?
What can young children do besides simply jumping at the trampoline park?
He stands at the plate with his heart pounding fast; the bases are loaded; the die has been cast. Mom and Dad cannot help him; he stands all alone. A hit at this moment would send the winning run home. The ball nears the plate; he swings but he misses; there’s a groan from the crowd with boos and some hisses. A thoughtless voice shouts, “Strike out, you bum.” Tears fill his eyes; the game’s no longer fun. Remember, he’s just a boy who stands all alone. So open your heart and give him a break; for it’s moments like this a man you can make. Keep this in mind when you hear someone shout. Remember, he’s still a little boy and not a man yet.
